Sending Email

SoloMail makes sending emails easy. You can send emails directly, or let your agents send emails on your behalf.

How to Send Email

Direct Sending

You can send emails directly from Solo:

  1. Go to Inbox
  2. Click "Compose" or "New Email"
  3. Enter recipient: Email address or Solo Identity
  4. Write message: Use the rich text editor
  5. Add attachments (if needed)
  6. Send: Email is sent immediately

Agent Sending

Your agents can send emails automatically:

  1. Agent analyzes context (inbound email, task, etc.)
  2. Agent drafts reply or message
  3. HITL check: Risky actions require your approval
  4. You review (if escalated) or agent sends
  5. Email sent from agent's address

Email Addresses

Your Email Address

When you send emails directly, they come from:

  • yourname@solomail.io — Your Solo Identity address

Agent Email Addresses

When agents send emails, they use:

  • yourname+inbox-manager@solomail.io — Inbox Manager
  • yourname+assistant@solomail.io — Assistant
  • yourname+role@solomail.io — Other agents

Important: All emails sent by agents are visible in your inbox.

Email Composition

Rich Text Editor

Solo's email editor supports:

  • Formatting: Bold, italic, underline
  • Lists: Bulleted and numbered
  • Links: Add hyperlinks
  • Attachments: Attach files
  • Plain text: Switch to plain text mode

Email Templates

Create templates for common emails:

  • Quick replies: Frequently used responses
  • Signatures: Automatic email signatures
  • Templates: Pre-written email templates

Agent Drafts

When agents draft emails:

  • Tone matches your agent's persona
  • Content is contextual based on the situation
  • HITL approval required for risky actions
  • You can edit before sending

Sending Options

Immediate Send

  • Direct emails: Sent immediately when you click "Send"
  • Agent emails: Sent automatically if approved and not risky

Hold for Review

  • Enable HITL: Require approval for all agent emails
  • Review drafts: See agent drafts before sending
  • Edit before sending: Modify agent drafts as needed

Scheduled Send

  • Schedule emails: Send at a specific time
  • Time zone aware: Respects your timezone
  • Agent scheduling: Agents can schedule follow-ups

Email Tracking

Sent Emails

All sent emails are tracked:

  • In your inbox: See all sent emails
  • Thread view: See conversation threads
  • Status: Delivered, read (if supported), bounced

Agent Activity

Monitor agent email activity:

  • Sent emails: See what agents sent
  • Draft emails: See drafts awaiting approval
  • Failed sends: See any delivery issues

Email not sending?

  • Check internet connection
