Quick Tour of Solo

Welcome to Solo! This quick tour will help you navigate the interface and understand the main areas of the platform.

Main Navigation

Solo's interface is organized into several main areas, accessible from the sidebar:

Dashboard

Your home base in Solo. Here you'll see:

  • Welcome message and activation status
  • Quick stats: Recent activity, agent status
  • Getting started cards if you're new
  • Recent conversations and tasks

Inbox

Your unified message center:

  • All communications in one place
  • Email threads from your Solo Identity
  • Agent messages and notifications
  • Task updates and status changes

Calendar

(Coming soon) Manage your schedule and meetings.

Team

Manage your agents and team members:

  • View all agents in your identity
  • Add new agents
  • Configure agent settings
  • Manage team members (business identities)

Account

Access your settings:

  • Profile: Personal information
  • Email Settings: Email preferences
  • Workflow Settings: Automation configuration
  • API Keys: Generate keys for integrations
  • Billing: Manage your plan and usage

Key Interface Elements

Sidebar

The left sidebar provides:

  • Main navigation: Dashboard, Inbox, Calendar, Team, Account
  • Account switcher: Switch between identities
  • User menu: Profile, settings, logout

Header

The top header shows:

  • Current identity: Which identity you're "acting as"
  • Notifications: Important updates
  • Search: Find conversations, agents, tasks

Content Area

The main content area changes based on what you're viewing:

  • Dashboard: Overview and metrics
  • Inbox: Message list and thread view
  • Team: Agent list and configuration
  • Settings: Configuration panels

Understanding Your Status

Activation Status

When you first sign up, you'll see an activation banner at the top:

  • Not Activated: Complete onboarding to activate your Solo Identity
  • Activated: You're ready to use all features

Agent Status

Agents can be:

  • Active: Running and processing work
  • Paused: Temporarily disabled
  • Error: Needs attention

Usage Metrics

In Settings → Workflow, you'll see:

  • Token Usage: AI tokens used this month vs. plan limit
  • Agent Executions: Number of agent runs this month vs. plan limit

Common Actions

Adding an Agent

  1. Go to Team
  2. Click "Add Agent"
  3. Choose agent type
  4. Configure settings
  5. Click "Create"

Sending an Email

  1. Go to Inbox
  2. Click "Compose" or "New Email"
  3. Enter recipient, subject, and message
  4. Click "Send"

Configuring an Agent

  1. Go to Team
  2. Click on an agent
  3. Go to Config tab
  4. Adjust settings
  5. Click "Save"

Viewing Conversations

  1. Go to Inbox
  2. Click on any conversation
  3. View thread history
  4. Reply or take action

Tips for Navigation

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Cmd/Ctrl + K: Open search
  • Cmd/Ctrl + ,: Open settings
  • Esc: Close modals/drawers

Mobile View

On mobile devices:

  • Sidebar collapses to a menu icon
  • Bottom navigation bar for quick access
  • Swipe gestures for navigation

Account Switcher

Use the account switcher in the sidebar to:

  • Switch between personal and business identities
  • See all identities you own
  • Create a new identity
