SoloMail is Solo's unified email system. It's how the world interacts with you on Solo, and how your agents communicate on your behalf.
What is SoloMail?

How SoloMail Works
Your Solo Identity Email
Your Solo Identity (yourname@solomail.io) is your primary email address:
- People send emails here: This is how the world reaches you
- Agents receive emails: Your Inbox Manager processes all inbound emails
- Agents send emails: Agents use
yourname+role@solomail.ioformat - You see everything: All communications are visible in your inbox
Agent Email Addresses
Agents use your identity with a +role designation:
yourname+inbox-manager@solomail.io— Your Inbox Manageryourname+assistant@solomail.io— Your Assistant agentyourname+billing@solomail.io— Billing Coordinator agent
All emails to and from agents are visible in your SoloMail inbox.
Automatic Processing
By default, your Inbox Manager:
- Receives all emails sent to your Solo Identity
- Analyzes content to understand intent and urgency
- Takes action or escalates to you via Human-in-the-Loop
- Maintains context across conversations
- Creates tasks from actionable emails
You can disable or delete the Inbox Manager in the Team area if you don't want automatic email processing.

Email Flow
Inbound Email Flow

- Reply automatically (if confident and appropriate)
- Create a task
- Escalate to you (HITL)
- Ignore (if not relevant)
- You review (if escalated) or see the result
- All activity visible in your inbox
Outbound Email Flow
- Agent drafts email based on context
- HITL check: Risky actions require your approval
- You review (if needed) or agent sends
- Email sent from agent's address (
yourname+role@solomail.io) - Visible in inbox: You see all sent emails

Best Practices
Use Your Solo Identity
- Give out
yourname@solomail.ioas your email address - Use it when you want operations handled by agents
- All emails here are processed automatically (if Inbox Manager is active)
Use Other Email Addresses
- Use a different email if you don't want agent handling
- Configure agents to ignore specific senders or domains
- Set up rules for how agents handle specific emails
Monitor Your Inbox
- Review agent actions regularly
- Provide feedback when agents make mistakes
- Adjust agent configuration as needed
